About Offshore Library

Offshore Library is published and managed by Offshore Data Systems Ltd (ODS), a privately held company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. ODS took over the management and content development of the Offshore Library portal from STAR Financial Management in January 2008, and since that time ODS has been totally overhauling the design, concept and functionality of the platform to incorporate all new tools and features that will directly benefit our end-users and site members.

Interface

Offshore Library's simple and intuitive navigation leaves behind the days of heavy, cluttered financial websites. More of an online community than a pure financial website, our design and functionality is user-oriented but still retains elements of its data-centric roots including charts, and a database of fund data. Every user account's control panel gives a central and straight forward location to control all the tools available. Each directory has a main dashboard with which to start browsing and searching. Applications and tools are displayed in easily visible areas and consistency throughout the site means you can easily jump around and still find your way back.

Technology

Offshore Library's core technology is built on the LAMP stack using a large, distributed MySQL database. We cherish the open source community and have been able to integrate selected tools and libraries from the open source movement into our own toolset giving back more complete, industry leading features for all our users. Offshore Library has created a custom-built search engine to tie in all of our queries into a single, powerful query system.

Privacy

As a company which bases it's focus on data sharing, we make the privacy of user data the utmost importance within the company. Users have the ability to share and restrict information as they see fit.
