PRIVACY STATEMENT
The Offshore Library Web site (www.offshore-library.com) is maintained by Offshore Data Systems Ltd. Offshore Data Systems recognizes and believes strongly in the importance of protecting the privacy of the personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) you share with us and this statement is intended to make you aware of our commitments to you as a valued visitor, user, or member of our Web site. By using this site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the site.

SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy applies only to the collection and use of information collected online on the Offshore Library Web site. Other websites that may be affiliated with Offshore Library may have different privacy policies. We suggest that you carefully review the privacy policy of each web site you visit.

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We only collect the personally identifiable information that you provide to us.

At some Offshore Library pages, we ask you to provide Personal Information, such as name, work address (e.g. street address, country) e-mail address(es) and phone number to authenticate and process non-paid and paid membership registrations. We may also collect demographic information, such as postal code (ZIP code), gender, preferences, interests and/or favorites. If you decide to sign up for a paid membership, we may have to ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address, which is used to process your purchase and set up your membership account. If you are on a part of our Web site that requires you to provide Personal Information, it will be clear what Personal Information we are requesting.

We may also collect other information that is provided to us by you web browser. This may include the browser you used to come to our Web site, the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) of the web site that you just visited before visiting our Web site, which pages on our Web site you visited, any search terms you entered, which URL you go next, and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Offshore Library collects and uses your Personal and/or Business Information to operate and improve its Web site and services. These uses may include providing you with more effective customer service; making the Sites or services easy-to-use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information. We also use your Personal and/or Business Information to communicate with you. We may send certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, invoices, billing reminders, notices about improvement on services and information on technical service issues.

The purpose of collecting your Personal Information is restricted to help us better serve our members. Offshore Library does NOT rent or sell your Information to other parties. For detailed information on how we use your Personal Information please vide list below.

This information is collected to help run our Web site more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information, to monitor the level of activity on our site, and to evaluate the effectiveness of any type of advertising and promotion.
  • 2. Product Inquiries, Purchase, Customer Service & Technical Support. Information collected when you contact Offshore Library about our product and service offerings. This information is necessary to identify your products or systems, understand the configuration of the products, diagnose your questions, and provide solutions.
  • 3. Online Surveys & Polling. Information collected you volunteer to complete surveys or participate in polls. Surveying and polling is extremely important to us as we use this information to improve our product and service offerings.
  • 4. Newsletters & Promotional E-mails. As a service to our customers, we e-mail you newsletters, promotional information and other information, using your Personal Information collected online. These e-mails will only be sent to you if you have agreed to receive them or if you have the right to opt-out from further receiving them.
  • 5. Contact Information. If you contact us, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments, including any information therein. We use this information to help us provide better service.

INFORMATION THAT IS PUBLICLY AVAILABLE
When you join Offshore Library, we ask you to submit information about your business and related products in order to set up your Company Profile and its products within Offshore Library. Your Company Profile is displayed to other registered members to enable your products to be exposed as well as you to directly interact with other registered members and third-party business. Your Company Profile and products will be available in search results across Offshore Library Web site and those limited pieces of information may be made available to third-party search engines. Any individual who see information related to you (such as posted news, articles) through third-party search engines will not be to access your profile information unless they have a registered membership account with Offshore Library.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Offshore Library is commited to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We maintain a reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the Personal Information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we trasmit and/or receive highly confidential information (such as credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) protocol.

If a password is used to help protect your account(s) and Personal Information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do NOT share this information with anyone. If you are using a sharing computer with anyone you should always log out before leaving a site to protect access to your information from subsequent users.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
This site and related services are not intended to be used by children under the age of 13. Offshore Library will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children, and if Offshore Library becomes aware that such information has been collected, Offshore Library will delete it.

And if you are under the age of 18, please make sure that you provide your Personal Information only after obtaining your parental consent.

We encourage all parents to talk with your children about communicating with strangers and disclosing personal information online.

USAGE OF COOKIES

MARKETING CONTACT “OPT-OUT” OPTION
